E' un book unico targato seinen abbastanza corposo - 280 pagine - tratto dall'omonimo classico di Dumas.
Seppur l'abbia in lista da parecchio tempo not ho ancora avuto modo di leggere 50'opera originale a causa della mole, per cui non so quali e quanti personaggi eastward avvenimenti siano stati tagliati.
Fatta questa premessa, posso dire con certezza di aver divorato east apprezzato molto tale manga, in quanto mi ha permesso di conoscere per sommi capi le vicende del protagonista e dato la spinta per buttarmi sul mattonazzo dell'autore francese.
Vendetta, intrighi, tradimenti, giustizia, dolore, perdita, tormento, invidia, avidità, sottile confine tra bene east male... questi sono alcuni degli elementi che rendono il manga avvincente e intrigante e che portano alla riflessione su determinati temi maturi, impegnativi ma soprattutto sempre attualissimi.
Una storia che essenzialmente pone 50'accento su quesiti del tipo: la vendetta è giusta? E' davvero impossibile perdonare chi ci ha fatto del male? Cosa resta poi dopo che ci si vendica? Ci si sente finalmente in pace con se stessi anche se si è perso tutto?
Io not so cartel una risposta chiara perchè qui non si parla tanto di giusto e sbagliato o di buoni eastward cattivi ma di personaggi che perseguono degli obiettivi ben precisi senza curarsi delle conseguenze delle proprie azioni.
Pagina dopo pagina vengono messe a nudo le varie sfumature ed emozioni dell'essere umano, da quelle positive a quelle negative; è infatti united nations manga complesso che verte sull'aspetto psicologico dei personaggi due east le situazioni che si trovano ad affrontare, riuscendo a centrare il messaggio che vuole trasmettere.
Riguardo i disegni nulla da ridire: sono semplicemente stupendi, eleganti, curati e seducenti ❤
In definitiva non posso che consigliarlo se come me si amano le storie ambientate in epoche passate che comunque risultino senza tempo.
Inoltre penso sarebbe bello se venissero pubblicati più manga tratti dai grandi classici: aiuterebbero sicuramente advertising avvicinarsi advertisement essi e scoprire la loro bellezza *_*

Was definitely a unique and pleasurable experience, as this was my first manga. I certainly feel I missed some depth of the story, but that was to be expected. The illustrations were beautifully detailed and meticulously done, depicting a character's expressions and thoughts. Overall I found reading it enjoyable and novel. Beaucoup de bonnes choses dans cette adaptation qui n'go far cependant pas à traduire le génie de Dumas, et de Dantès.

Le respect de 50'histoire est présent, mais je trouve qu'elle a été beaucoup trop simplifiée et aurait méritée d'être plus étayée. Je north'ai pas réussi à retrouver tous ces moments où je me disais mon Dieu quel génie ce Dantes, certains passages étant vraiment trop raccourcis et mal expliqués.

I took one look at the cover of Ena Moriyama's manga adaptation of The Count of Monte Cristo and was immediately entranced past the pretty art. I wondered if the interior fine art was as lovely, so I cleared a block of time on Sabbatum to read this version of Alexandre Dumas' classic tale of betrayal and revenge. I actually enjoyed this volume!

I took one expect at the encompass of Ena Moriyama'due south manga adaptation of The Count of Monte Cristo and was immediately entranced past the pretty art. I wondered if the interior art was as lovely, so I cleared a block of time on Saturday to read this version of Alexandre Dumas' classic tale of betrayal and revenge. I really enjoyed this book!

When jealous rivals frame Edmond Dantes on his wedding day, he is imprisoned in Chateau d'If, an island fortress that no one has ever escaped from. Despite his innocence, he is imprisoned for years, and only the idea that his honey Mercedes is waiting for his release keeps him going. After six years of solitary solitude, he decides to commit suicide by refusing to eat. It'due south when he's at his very weakest, emotionally and physically, that he meets Faria, some other political prisoner.

As their friendship blossoms, Faria teaches Edmond all that he knows so that, should Edmond always leave the prison, he will exist prepared to have on his rivals. With Faria's keen assist, Edmond pieces together the puzzle of his imprisonment, and learns the identity of his betrayers. When he does, miraculously, escape his confinement, he is ready to curlicue. I have never read The Count of Monte Cristo prior to picking up this manga. I've seen movies based on the book, merely the plot details have grown hazy over the years. This was a compelling retelling, and I couldn't put information technology down. With every victory against his rivals, Edmond faces unseen setbacks in his quest for revenge. After 24 years, all of his hated conspirators have families, and his actions damning his false accusers have rippling consequences for innocent people. Information technology'due south Edmond's painful realization that the innocent should never suffer with the guilty that defines this story. At times Edmond is as heartless and evil as his enemies, and his regret at causing harm to innocents saves him from condign a consummate monster.

The fine art is gorgeous. Flat out beautiful and a wonderful treat, page after page. I loved the graphic symbol designs, especially handsome, brooding Edmond, and exotic Haydee. Her wardrobe alone was worth the price of admission. If I have any quibbles, it's that the story did feel too condensed at times. Otherwise, there aren't many better ways to spend a weekend afternoon than reading through The Count of Monte Cristo.

Ik its not good and doesnt deserve 5 Stars, but stfu I loved it

Love this manga. It was really true to the books. I actually wish that the books were a little scrap more than like the manga. Information technology simply had what was truly necessary and important. It didn't take a ton of descriptions and unnecessary plot lines. I also liked the lilliputian two pages and the end where we come across fiddling Haydée and the relationship she had without Edmond when she was younger. It was pretty cute. In general, I recommend this manga to everyone who had read the books and non someone who hasn't read th Honey this manga. Information technology was really truthful to the books. I really wish that the books were a little bit more like the manga. It only had what was truly necessary and of import. It didn't have a ton of descriptions and unnecessary plot lines. I too liked the little two pages and the terminate where we meet little Haydée and the human relationship she had without Edmond when she was younger. It was pretty cute. In general, I recommend this manga to anybody who had read the books and not someone who hasn't read them considering it can be a little hard to empathize without basic knowledge of the story. ...more than

The Count of Mounte Cristo is 1 of the favorite classics from Alexander Dumas and the Manga accommodation was a joy to read. The artwork is phenominal and the storyline an exciting drama. It is non the same ending as the picture simply I still enjoyed it. If you are lo I institute this jewel in the bookstore and read it while sitting in the coffee shop. I have plans of reading the original next calendar month. All the same, I have been introduced to the magical globe of Manga Classics and I absolutely enjoy reading them. This is a wonderful adaption of my favorite book. I've read the other manga adaption and was a bit disappointed, since it left out my favorite part (the prison scenes). This includes non only that, but also made Haydee a major character. (Another disappointment I usually detect in adaptions is her having a small role).
I was very pleased with this adaption and recommend information technology to any Monte Cristo fan! This is a wonderful adaption of my favorite book. I've read the other manga adaption and was a bit disappointed, since information technology left out my favorite part (the prison scenes). This includes non only that, but too made Haydee a major grapheme. (Another thwarting I usually find in adaptions is her having a minor office).

I really didn't recollect it was possible to sum upward The Count of Monte Cristo in 12 chapters and fewer than 300 pages, but Moriyama Ena did a passable job. In an writer's note, she admits that she was forced to leave out quite a bit (Albert and Mercédès' story post-duel is left out, for instance, and the whole Valentine and younger Morrell romance is rather shallow), merely I was pleasantly surprised that the feel of the story overall was unchanged.

I can't decide if this adaptation would or wouldn't make the story accessible to struggling readers. I've read the unabridged novel a few times and I was however flipping dorsum to the character list to double-cheque who had taken on which proper name, who had married whom, whose kids were whose, etc. I recollect it boils downwardly to whether or not manga is your affair. It's non actually mine, just I did love seeing sure moments drawn out on the page. Ever since finishing the actual novel, I've been obsessed with the Count and take sought out dissimilar sources and adaptations—mostly to put off the urge to reread the book 2 times in a year. I just don't accept time over the holidays to read the volume again; just I did have time to relish this manga adaptation.

Though not 100% true to the source material, the fashion this story was abridged works. It works even more and then if the reader has read the unabridged version, because you get those little aha moment

Ever since finishing the actual novel, I've been obsessed with the Count and have sought out dissimilar sources and adaptations—mostly to put off the urge to reread the book two times in a twelvemonth. I just don't have time over the holidays to read the book again; but I did accept time to enjoy this manga adaptation.

Though not 100% true to the source fabric, the mode this story was abridged works. Information technology works even more than and so if the reader has read the unabridged version, because you become those piffling aha moments when a plot bespeak or person has been cut or reduced. So there is likewise the Japanese "improvisations"(view spoiler)[ ecchi (hide spoiler)] where a certain character (view spoiler)[Haydee (hide spoiler)] is concerned. I found it a chip rushed but i still thoroughly enjoyed it. Hello! Welcome to my review of The Count of Monte Cristo :)

So this volume is one of those classics that i just love to re watch and re read all the time. I recently found the manga version of this book and was very intrigued to encounter what it was like. I found it a bit rushed but i still thoroughly enjoyed it. Manga usually takes me virtually one-half an hour to read and then it was just a quick story i picked up to read in betwixt my book hangover stages.
You know when you've finished a book or serial and y'all don't desire to start on another heavy read simply yet, books similar these are basically my fillers.
I loved the illustrations they were absolutely beautiful, I've always adored manga just from the illustrations and this was no exception. Ena captured the count perfectly and he is but how i imagined him from the original volume.

So! To conclude this manga was short and sweet and i would likely pick it up over again in the future. For anyone who loves the classics give this a try.

Ci tengo a precisare che sono partita fin da subito poco fiduciosa: ho acquistato il manga poichè caldamente raccomandato dal ragazzo della fumetteria, mi sono lasciata convincere dato fifty'enorme sconto con il quale lo avrei acquistato. Continuo a chiedermi perché me lo abbia consigliato...
Il romanzo viene totalmente banalizzato: un sacco di parti che a parere mio richiedevano di essere approfondite vengono appena citate, magari con una Alexander Dumas si sta probabilmente rivoltando nella tomba.

Kiedy już wszystko wydaje się być skończone poznaje więźnia z Edmund Dantes ma wszystko, co można by było zazdrościć: młodość, dobrą posadę marynarza, przyszłość jako kapitan, kochającą piękną narzeczoną, świetnego chlebodawcę Morella, kochającego ojca, wiernych przyjaciół Danglarsa i Fernanda, wreszcie także odrobinę odłożonych na przyszłość pieniędzy. Ale los, który dotychczas mu sprzyja, odwraca się. Młody człowiek trafia practise więzienia i nie może się pogodzić z tym, że nawet nie wie dlaczego. Kiedy już wszystko wydaje się być skończone poznaje więźnia z celi obok, uważanego za szaleńca, ojca Farię. To on nie tylko daje mu nadzieję, ale i naukę czy też sposobność ucieczki. J'ai lu aussi l'adaptation de la collection Manga classics et les deux sont très différents: les dessins de la version japonaise sont plus sensuels que ceux de la version américaine. C'est vrai: regarde la poitrine de Haydee, qui est toujours au bord de sortir de ses vêtements...

Les cadres sont beaucoup pleins de hachures et ils résultent très foncés.

J'ai eu des problèmes avec la histoire. La trame est united nations peu difficile si on due north'a jamais lu le roman original. À united nations certain signal c'était très confus

C'est n'est pas mauvais mais j'ai préféré Manga Classics: The Count of Montecritsto, mais je pense, que c'est pourquoi c'est en anglais et je parle mieux Anglais que Français.

Molto bello, artisticamente favoloso, estremamente barocco con tavole piene e ricche di dettagli preziosi, espressività dei volti due east l'opportuna oscurità di scene e personaggi a preponderanza di nero. Come ha detto qualcuno east come scrive nella postfazione Moriyama, c'è stato un ovvio lavoro di riduzione delle vicende ai punti salienti trascurando particolari e alcuni passaggi per adattarlo alla pubblicazione in singolo volume, ma niente che infici la comprensione del tutto. Molto consigliato agli Molto bello, artisticamente favoloso, estremamente barocco con tavole piene e ricche di dettagli preziosi, espressività dei volti east l'opportuna oscurità di scene e personaggi a preponderanza di nero. Come ha detto qualcuno e come scrive nella postfazione Moriyama, c'è stato un ovvio lavoro di riduzione delle vicende ai punti salienti trascurando particolari e alcuni passaggi per adattarlo alla pubblicazione in singolo volume, ma niente che infici la comprensione del tutto. Molto consigliato agli appassionati del Conte di Montecristo e agli adattamenti manga dei classici (io, io, io), chissà che non sia lo spunto per avvicinare qualche ragazzo alle profonde avventure di Edmond Dantes ideate da Dumas, lo spero davvero ...more

Premetto che se ho acquistato il libro del Conte di Montecristo è stato proprio grazie a questo manga.
Conosco il picture ( e chi not lo conosce ? ) con Gérard Depardieu due east nei miei ricordi la trama era troppo noiosa east pesante. Cosa dire se non che MI SBAGLIAVO DI GROSSO!
Il manga segue perfettamente il libro, nonostante sia un mega riassunto di un romanzone di più di mille pagine.
Ho amato tantissimo il tratto dell'autrice, il modo in cui ha saputo dare espressività ai personaggi e il modo in cui ha p Premetto che se ho acquistato il libro del Conte di Montecristo è stato proprio grazie a questo manga.

Il manga segue perfettamente il libro, nonostante sia un mega riassunto di united nations romanzone di più di mille pagine.
Ho amato tantissimo il tratto dell'autrice, il modo in cui ha saputo dare espressività ai personaggi e il modo in cui ha permesso alla storia di non avere buchi di trama nonostante le pagine siano davvero poche per un'opera così imponente.
Se non conoscete libro o film, questo manga fa proprio per voi, per iniziare: amore, tradimenti, piani subdoli per una vendetta con i fiocchi. Non manca niente! ...more

Art work was beautiful! For someone who has never read the original version of this story it is well captivated. Later reading the after story, Ena Moriyama stated that it was her favorite volume growing up; then for her to capture the story in a small frame was to the all-time of her ability.
Over again for someone who has never read or even knew the plot of The Count (considering for some reason or some other it intimidated me), information technology was well told. It had me turning pages and wondering the event to the characters Fine art piece of work was beautiful! For someone who has never read the original version of this story it is well captivated. This manga is neat. The plot itself is very interesting and gripping. Information technology mainly focuses on the revenge that the Count is planning. The main character is complex and morally gray. Throughout the story we watch as he carries out his revenge but too how his actions affect and change him. The motivations of the side characters are also equally interesting. The artwork is beautiful peculiarly when information technology comes to the details. The only downside is the pacing. The action moves fast but it is understandab This manga is great. Condensed and beautifully illustrated version

I loved the condensed version of the original. I read an adjusted version of the get-go affiliate in French and roughshod in beloved with the story. This has been a volume that I wanted to read for a long time and this version was perfect inspiration to finally read the original.

Mi ha colpita moltissimo! Abbastanza fedele al libro, con ovviamente delle abbreviazioni e divergenze soprattutto nel finale, ma mi ha fatto provare esattamente le stesse emozioni che ho provato col romanzo. In più, i disegni sono meravigliosi!!

Dandy adaptation from the original novel. It is obviously very summarized, merely still much better than the movies adaptations in my opinion. Neat illustration art!

Reading this to empathise it a piffling before having to read the original for school

Cute illustrations, and a skillful summary of the original book. Though of form I recommend reading the 1200+ folio book for a richer feel.
